Many times in our field, the tasks group together, such as discovery responses plus a document index.  Or a decree plus ancillary documents for child support and property transfer. I can pick up at any point you need me.

Notary

I am a notary currently commissioned by the State of Texas, in good standing, available to travel if needed by appointment.  This service is available to attorneys as well as to private individuals.  While my notary services are free of charge, I do ask for reimbursement of travel time and mileage.

Training

If you would like assistance with training new paralegals/legal assistants, I have experience training both in person and virtually.  Perhaps your assistant would like a few tips and tricks with Excel or Adobe, or would like help understanding division spreadsheets or inventories.  Let me know how I can help.

File Management

Organization is my forte.  If you are struggling with file organization, or would just like someone to clean them up for you and make a foundation for organization going forward, I would love to assist you.  I can organize the file either according to your direction, or I can handle all.  You let me know what your needs are and how I can help.  If you need ongoing file management, I can do that as well.

Client Management

Do you have clients who are needing extra attention or "hand-handling?"  Perhaps they need help with understanding the basic process of divorce, or about discovery.  If you would like a paralegal to be available to them so you can focus on other things, I am happy to step up to help. 

I've been a Texas family law paralegal for almost two decades.  I am a Member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division and my number is 24130702.   I have worked in both large and small law firms, and with many attorneys, many personalities and preferences, on cases big and small.  I have a proven track record of success.

I farm out nothing.  I do not and will not use Generative AI, ChatGPT, or Artificial Intelligence of any kind.  All work is done 100% by me and my own brain.  You can count on consistency from one project to another.  Quality and efficiency of turnaround time are my priorities.  

My background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas in the double major fields of Psychology and Biology, and a Master's in Education with lifetime certification to teach both fields in grades through senior high school.  I taught high school for a number of years in various subjects including Psychology, Biology, Algebra, and Business Computing.  It was rewarding to help educate our younger generation and help them earn credit toward college.  While I enjoyed my time as an educator, I made the switch to use my skills in the legal environment years ago, and the rewards have been truly amazing.  I grew up out in West Texas, a town called Abilene.  I was raised in an environment that valued integrity, promptness, cordiality, kindness, and a genuine desire to make positive differences wherever possible.

Times have changed.  For all of us.  Our priorities, our way of life, our way of doing business and serving our clients have evolved.  I see a special niche I can fill, using the experience and skills that I have, to continue serving the community and my profession in a manner that not only aligns with my "new way" of life but also hopefully assists others in the profession to continue to flourish during these changing times and to continue their duties to the communities they serve.  I love what I do.

My hat is off to all attorneys who are starting up their own practice, or running a home office, or otherwise going out on their own.  I want to support this.  My hope is to provide not only quality and timely paralegal product but also to be a friendly and positive source of general support and kindness.

I also recognize that even larger firms need extra knowledgeable assistance from time to time.  This can be when their staff needs time off or a couple extra hands to get through a big case.  It's not hard to get overwhelmed.

I have all the necessary tools and resources at my disposal.  There is nothing you need to provide, excepting  the corresponding cause and client information necessary for me to complete your project. In most instances, where appropriate, your project will be turned-around to you in both editable and PDF formats.  There is no need to provide me with any software, passwords, forms or go-bys, hardware, equipment, insurance, payroll paperwork, or any other resource excepting any such specifics necessary for completion of the project at hand.  I am your right hand paralegal.
