Policies & NonDisclosure

I bill in quarter-hour increments, with a minimum billing of one hour, in accordance with the billing rate appropriate for the project or as otherwise agreed.  Exceptions may be made on an individual basis solely at my discretion.  I may from time-to-time apply loyalty rates or other discounts in appreciation for your business.  

A billing timesheet is generally emailed to you shortly following project completion.  For ongoing and lengthy projects, I may send out a periodic billing timesheet.

Payment is expected upon receipt of my billing timesheet. 

Payment is accepted via Zelle.  I may agree to make other arrangements upon request and agreement.  Third-party platform payments such as PayPal or Venmo are generally not accepted.

As a courtesy, I am happy to input my time directly into your software.  I do not charge extra for this as I consider this a professional courtesy to earn and keep your loyal business.  Simply provide me with a paralegal logon for your timekeeping software if you would like me to do this for you. 

I acknowledge and understand the confidential nature of the work and profession, and my obligation to maintain and guard the attorney-client work product privilege.  Any information received during my association with you that concerns you, your firm, and your clients shall be treated in full confidence and will not be revealed to any person or used for personal advantage. I acknowledge this obligation is perpetual and does not end upon completion of any work or upon conclusion of our association.   Attorney names, client names, case styles, case and client information, will never be disclosed by me to any other person or entity under any circumstances.  Being asked to do so by any individual will result my immediate ceasing of work with that individual. 

In addition to the following affirmation, I am happy to sign, and prepare if requested, a nondisclosure agreement upon your request.  Any specific agreement notwithstanding, I affirm the following:

All information concerning your business, your clients' business and personal affairs, that I hold that has not voluntarily been previously disclosed to the general public I will hold confidential.  I acknowledge that I am not acquiring any right or license to use any aspect of confidential information for any purpose other than preparing the documents and items as requested by you and performing the projects and tasks requested by you, and that thereafter upon completion of such preparation and performance I shall make no further use or disclosure for any purpose or to any individual or entity.

A conflict check will be run by me prior to my acceptance of your task to ensure that no reason exists that would run counter to or compete with the best interest of you and your client.  In the event a potential conflict exists, I will promptly disclose same to you prior to my acceptance of your task and performing any work.  In the event of a conflict, acceptance of your task and  performing work would proceed only with your full acknowledgement and approval.

Payment is expected for all work done.   The time of my beginning work on your project is entirely my discretion and with consideration of my current workload, and may not be similar in all circumstances.  In the event that work on your task has already begun at the time of your cancellation, I will provide you with the in-progress product and my timesheet, and payment is expected immediately for all time spent although the product may be incomplete.  This policy is necessary to protect the integrity of the projects received and to ensure against disingenuous project requests.

All my work is 100% from my own brain, initiative, and experience.  

I do not and will not use AI.  I do not farm out or otherwise subcontract work. 

Because my work-product is consistent from project-to-project and over time, you will know that you can count on me.
